So the “state of the blog” speech this week is this: things are downright pitiful!
Gah, I can’t stand it when bloggers apologize for their piddling lack of content, but here I am. . . moaning and whining again. Momma is in slightly over her head. It’s not that I don’t still have good ideas. It’s just that I keep falling asleep before I can transfer them to this screen!
Things will get better eventually. I’m 63% certain of it.
Anyhow, I’ve managed to make it up the stairs to my Mac today, so you get High Notes! Hooray!
“I’ve spoken to many designers and merchandisers about this. The overwhelming response is, ‘I’m not interested in her.’ Why? ‘I don’t want her wearing my clothes.’ Why? ‘She won’t look the way that I want her to look.’ They say the plus-size woman is complicated, different and difficult, that no two size 16s are alike.”
15 Books for New Routines and Fresh Starts by Anne Bogel at Modern Mrs. Darcy
“These books are fun, (mostly) short, and packed with the practical tips and motivation you need to get your life in order for fall.”
“The privilege of making a home is adding our personal style and filling it with meaningful and pretty touches that make all who dwell inside feel happy and at home. I absolutely believe this.”
My guest post for Different Dream. . . and boy does this one hit home right now. . .
Well, it’s, you know. . . what I’m into. . .
Because I feel compelled to tell you this. . .
What I’m Loving Lately:
1. This funny blooper video
Oh. My. Gosh.
I laughed so hard at this I gave myself a headache. Seriously. Watch the wife.
2. This funny meme
Apparently I either struck gold with the funny stuff this week. . . or, I’m getting a little loopy in my old age and state of over-tiredness. But I giggled like a school girl at this one.
3. Stranger Things on Netflix
Ooh. . . this show is so creepy and good. And so 80s! Even the font used for the credits makes me feel like I’ve time-traveled back to high school. We are loving it.
This Week’s Lyrics for Life:
This song is on my “Morning” playlist and I love it. Gorgeous and full of truth.
Joy in My Morning by Sovereign Grace Music
When darkness falls
And all around me seems undone
You hear my pleas
Supply my needs
And tell me of Your wondrous love
You are the joy in my morning
You’re my song of praise
Just like the new day dawning
Flooding my world with grace
Though trials come
And every one
Can take me further from Your truth
You calm my fears
Dry all my tears
And draw me closer, Lord, to You
