This week’s High Notes are here. I totally and completely missed it last week, so I’ll link up to the last several blog posts, just in case you missed them!
“Prayer-Shaming” Isn’t About Attacking Prayer by Ruth Graham
The Five Best Toys of All Time by Jonathan Liu–this one’s an oldie, but a goodie. . . especially as you’re busy shopping for more plastic crap to put in your house.
You’re Not an Airplane, So Stop Living Like the Sky Is the Limit by Sarah Mackenzie

What I’m Loving This Week:
Most of the last two weeks I’ve spent on a piano bench. I’m loving all the Christmas music I get to play, but it’s a bit of a whirlwind, especially when you throw all my kids’ performances into the mix!
Fall has finally arrived in north Texas. We got several days of cooler weather right after Thanksgiving, so all the leaves dropped at once. It’s beautiful, but it’s also a mess. Just in time for Christmas!
I have to say my results weren’t quite as amazing as some of the YouTube videos, but it still worked! It’s sort of a chemical peel for your feet. The top layer of skin dries up and peels off like a sunburn, but it’s painless. My feet are super soft now. I do wish it had peeled off a little more around the heel area, but overall I’m pleased and will probably use it again.
Here’s a pic of me peeling my dead foot skin. It’s driving my husband crazy. But it’s so much fun. In a gross sort of way.
Although we haven’t had much time for TV, Eric and I started watching the new Amazon series, The Man In The High Castle – Season 1, and we are hooked. We only have one episode left and then I guess we’ll fall into the Show Hole. The struggle could NOT be more real.
These made me laugh this week:
This Week’s Lyrics for Life:
The First Noel arranged by Dan Forrest
Then let us all with one accord
Sing praises to our heavenly Lord;
That hath made heaven and earth of naught,
And with his blood mankind hath bought
Noel, noel, noel, noel
Born is the king of Israel”
This is by far my favorite piece I’ve played so far this Christmas season. Absolutely glorious. This arrangement might just change your life.
No matter what’s going on in the world, remember this: God made heaven and earth out of nothing. Let us praise Him in one accord this holiday season!
